  they are very pretty, should visit. see them in close distance. there is a simple cafe, handmade cookies very very yummy.

  This museum was built at second Pahlavid period and its building looks different and fascinating by itself. It shows different kinds of carpets. It has a conference hall too. It is recommendex for children and young adults. Comparing other museums i get 5 out of 10 to it.

  Very modern building in concrete, but not exactly beautiful from the outside. Interesting carpets on display, but virtually zero explanation, several exhibits almost inaccessible (very strange, if not non-sensical setup). The worst failure is the lighting. Complete amateur work. Spots that only illuminate part of the carpets. A bit a shame, considering how central carpets are to Persian culture and history.

  Unless you're crazy about carpets, don't go there. You'll see enough carpets in the bazaars and the internet can teach you way more than the museum.

  Big variety of carpets up to 500 years old, with a great history explained by a guide provided by the museum. The work done on some of these carpets is mind blowing and unimaginable.
