  According to the statistics published in 1330 (AH), only about 11% of Iran's issued banknotes and coins are in the hands of banks and the remaining 89% are kept in people's personal safes and cash boxes, in other words, stagnant and out of the financial and economic cycle of the country. The date of establishment of Bank Saderat Iran goes back to 1331. This bank was established on 16 September 1331, by the family of Bilorforoshan, Mohammad Ali Mufarah and some of his relatives, with a capital of two million tomans, in the form of credit and three thousand and five hundred tomans in the form of a loan, temporarily in an upper house located in Takiye Dolat, in a building overlooking the branch of the Central Bank of Iran, and was registered under the name of Saderat and Mines Bank in the Tehran Companies Registration Office, then from 22 November of the same year, following the opening of the first branch, it officially started working.[4]
