::I was planning to stay there for 2 nights, but the amazing services and calmness of the rooms made me so happy and I renewed my stay for 3 more days Tabriz was such a nice and welcoming place and i can easily say that Shahriyar Hotel according to the price ranges was The Best hotel of that city They treated me so well especially the reception.

::It is a very grand facility but rather dated. If one ever wanted to see a grand retro hotel from the 1970s this would not disappoint. The huge custom made hand knotted carpet in the reception area is rather worn out but replacing it would be very difficult. I have never seen a hotel with such wide corridors or foyers in front of the lifts. The washroom needs immediate renovation. The breakfast was mostly local fare but at under 50 USD per night it was altogether a pleasant experience.

::I arrived in Tabriz early morning at 7:00 am taking a 5:00 am flight from Tehran, which meant i needed to be at the airport by 4:30 am. So i woke up at 3:00 am. When i arrived at the Hotel, they told me to come back at 12:00 pm for check-in. I explained to them that i had booked for the night before so i don't have to wait until 12:00 but they were not very flexible and unaccommodating. Finally when i came back at 12 for check-in, i was assigned a room, that apparently looked clean, can't complain, but the entire third floor smelled like raw meat, including my room. The floor of the toilet, however, looked as if not mopped in ages. Wi-fi free though was very slow. I found the staff very demotivated and uninterested in the work. The hotel claimed to be international, but the staff could hardly communicate in English, except for one or two on a lucky day. i found the reception staff very slow, both for check-in and check-out. One morning I got stuck in the elevator for 10 minutes, the emergency button did not work, i was ringing the bell but no one came to my help. Finally i called my colleague who was also staying at the same hotel to come and help. i would not recommend this hotel because i did not find it very welcoming and helpful.
