I visited the Coin Museum of Iran today (April 8, 2018). I did enjoy my time because it was the very first time I could study history of Iran through looking at the beautiful coins and reading the informative texts above them. I do recommend that you visit this interesting museum. I'm sure you will love it!

Coin Museum is one of the largest and most valuable collections of coins since 2700 years ago. The museum was founded in 1964 by Mr.Agh Oli, the managing director of the Sepah Bank, and was established in order to preserve the cultural heritage of the country. Coins of this collection were compiled by Shirin Melkzadeh Bayani, one of the well-known pioneers and researchers in this field, collecting and arranging coins and sorting them coins with his direct supervision. The museum, in which 20,000 coins belong to different periods of Iranian history, are one of the richest and most valuable coin museums in the Middle East. In the Coin Museum, a complete collection of historical coins from the world's first coins to contemporary coins is publicly displayed. This collection is unique in terms of displaying various coins in Iran during the Sassanid period. In this collection there is also a full range of various types of the Safavid era, which has been multiplied in various cities. In this museum, there were some coins, including the coin memorial of the Montreal Olympic Games in Montreal, and the Asian Games of Tehran in 1974.
